Coziness and home atmosphere combined with wonderful European cuisine is Drago in a nutshell.
The restaurant is named after the restaurant's founder Dragomir Rakanovich, who opened several similarly- named restaurants in Yugoslavia, Germany, England and other countries.
The chef (Mladen Kurilich) has been awarded a gold medal for his achievements in the art of cookery. There are lots of varieties of soup, including French onion soup, and soup 'Madonna' with shrimps. Among the restaurant's speciality dishes are 'Drago' (chicken, beef, agaric sauce) or 'Alexander' beef.
It is more of a classy restaurant than style bar but the cocktails are a delight. Given the names of European women, try such delights as the Beautiful Helen vodka, vermouth, cointreau or the Anna Maria - a Russian vodka Martini.
The food is Yugoslav, the setting a warm and cozy Adriatic idyll where ivy twines around the curved bleached- brick walls, a fountain bubbles in the dining room and live music adds to the romance and style.
Hours: Mon- Sun 12noon- 12midnight.
